Determinants of Health Behavior. This course introduced health behavior theories, as well as provided an overview of psychological, social, cultural and environmental determinants of health behavior.

Human Health and Disease. This course looked at lifestyles as a factor for good health practices. 

HLTH 3250

Infectious Disease and Exposure. This course provided an overview of infectious diseases and proper infection control management. 

HLTH 3610

Introduction to Health Care Economics. This course identified the basic economics of the health care industry including supply and demand. 

HLTH 3800

Epidemiology. This course emphasized the incidence and distribution of disease patterns within a population. 

HLTH 4700

Global Health. An in depth course covering public health on an international scale with a primary focus on the Sustainable Development Goals. 

HLTH 4900

Research and Evaluation Strategies for Public Health. This course emphasized the importance of research in public health, including the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. 

Sample Work

The sample from HLTH 2400 is a literature review of fad dieting as a health behavior. The review uses a combination of the Health Belief Model and the Social Cognitive Theory to explain how various factors affect dieting as a health behavior. 
The sample from HLTH 4700 is my final paper, an accumulation of evidence as to how to better the overall health of the people of Nicaragua utilizing the Sustainable Development Goals as a blueprint.
